As part of the SportingPulse competition that was held between July – September, sporting clubs from across the nation competed for their chance to win the Ultimate End of Season Golf Trip at a premier golf course in their state. The Gleneagles Social Golf Club from Victoria took out the major prize, and as a reward, were treated with a day to remember at the prestigious Commonwealth Golf Club on Monday 28th October. Playing one of Melbourne and Australia s top courses, the Gleneagles Social Golf Club were treated like royalty as they enjoyed their round of golf with a beautiful lunch to follow, not to mention some fantastic prizes that were up for grabs. Bad weather threatened to dampen the mood but after a few short patches of light rain, the group had the course to themselves with a Crown Lager beer in hand. Celebrity guest Danny Spud Frawley also joined for a round of golf, swapping stories and enjoying a laugh with all players throughout the day. Well done to the Gleneagles Social Golf Club and to all sporting clubs that were part of the SportingPulse competition! Golf is a passion that many people have from all other sporting codes, often taken up in the off season or for a sporting club fundraiser.
