5 ways to boost your golf participation this year

1. MyGolf

Ramp up your junior program with a well branded, structured and easy to implement  teaching program.  PGA Professionals and Community Coaches have the flexibility to adapt the programs to their needs and price accordingly.

With 319 centres registered so far, the national junior development program has spread far and wide since launching in July 2014.

2. Linking Schools with Clubs

Later this year Golf Australia will be delivering the MyGolf Schools program within the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) new Sporting Schools programme.  Sporting Schools aims to engage more than 850,000 children across Australia in what will be the country’s largest school-based participation programme.  The ASC is partnering with 32 national sporting organisations (NSOs) to offer sporting programmes to children before, during or after school starting in term 3 2015.

3. Swing Fit

What is it?  It’s the fun and healthy way for women to learn and improve their golf skills.

It combines health, fitness and a skill development program, which has socialisation, conditioning and games based learning at its core. Participants learn and experience the basic golf swing and putting action, with opportunities to have fun and get their whole body moving through golf specific conditioning and movement activities.

It is for women of all ages and abilities with programs for new and existing golfers.

4. Play Golf WEEK – Mon 26 Oct to Sun 1 Nov 2015

This is a great time to ramp up your facility exposure or membership offerings to your local community, but you need to plan ahead.  There are many innovative ways to bring people to your facility or bring your facility to the people.  In 2014, 197 facilities conducted Playgolf WEEK activities, including a ‘Come & Try Day’ on the first day.   The week attracted over 7,000 participants nationally.  Facilities can officially register in June.

5. Social Media
