Australia finishes fifth in Philippines

The Australian trio of Emma Bennett, Kristie Smith and Stephanie Na has finished fifth at the Queen Sirikit Cup in the Philippines after shooting a final round 157. Strong winds and fast greens made low scoring tough on the third day which was dominated by runaway winners, Korea. Australia started strongly and sat in second position after the opening day. They slipped to fourth on Thursday and dropped one more to finish four strokes behind rivals New Zealand and five ahead of Thailand. Korea won the trophy in emphatic style, shooting a 414 to win ahead of hosts the Philippines on 434 and Japan on 435.
