Windsor Country Club will be hosting the semi finals of the 2018 Eric Apperly Shield this Sunday 26th August @ 11:30am.
In the first semi final, number 1 seeds St. Michael’s GC will face Concord GC who ended the run of the ACT Monaro District team in the preliminary final last weekend. Concord were too strong and defeated ACT Monaro District 4-2 who were missing a few key players from their lineup. Led by undefeated Blade Gadd, Concord GC now face a St. Michael’s GC team who went through the group stages undefeated with a close to perfect season winning 21.5 matches out of a possible 24. St. Michael’s GC's undefeated players were Daniel Kolar, Aidan Powter, Weilang Wang, Jamie Krzyszczak and NSW State Team member Harrison Crowe.
Defending Champions Bonnie Donn GC will meet Stonecutters Ridge GC in the second semi final after both teams topped their groups with unbeaten records in both their sections. Bonnie Doon GC will look to go back to back this year and with undefeated players Kurt Burns, Fletcher Murray and Tyrone Jackson during the preliminary round stage. Stonecutters Ridge GC have been impressive in their section, winning their final match to progress through to semi final stage. Darcy Boyd, Kade Webber and Cameron Rios-Ceballios were the western Sydney club’s undefeated players for the season.
The stage is set with two quality semi finals being played this Sunday, with the winners progressing to the 2018 Eric Apperly Final which will be played on Sunday 9th September at Twin Creeks Golf & Country Club – Home of the NSW Open Championship.
