Four shot lead for Lydia

New Zealand amateur, Lydia Ko, has shown her extreme liking for the Oatlands layout with what would normally have been a course record, 64, but due to the wet conditions during the week, the field have been required to play under &apospreferred lies&apos. In a round consisting of 7 birdies, an eagle and a single bogey blemish on 14, she now becomes the clubhouse leader on 11 under par, 4 shots clear of Lindsey Wright, who earlier posted a great 6 under, 66. Like Wright several hours earlier, Ko&aposs deadly accurate iron play and safe putting skills, combined with the softer greens, enabled her to record a tremendous score around the tight course. But Ko won&apost have it all her own way in the final round, with seasoned professional Wright, and Frenchwoman Gwladys Nocera in similar form, keeping the pressure on until the final hole. Close behind that are Australians Kristie Smith, Stephanie Na, Rachel Bailey and Nikki Garrett together with leading Englishwoman, Melissa Reid, Norwegian Marianne Skarpnord and Becky Morgan from Wales. There were other great scores throuhout the day including American, Mo Martin and Australian Kristie Smith with 67&aposs, and Gwladys Nocera who finished with a 68. With a 40% chance of rain, but temperatures to hover around the 27 mark, it is likely to be a humid day with winds expected to 20km/h. The final day of the tournament is expected to be exciting with many of our visiting internationals still featuring near the top of the leaderboard.
