California&aposs Mina Harigae is starting to live up to the potential she showed as an amateur with her first professional victory at the Ladies Titan Tire Challenge in Marion, Iowa. Harigae posted rounds of 64,67 and 69 to finish at 16-under par and record a whopping 10-stroke victory. Her nearest rival was Whitney Myers of Pennsylvania who finished on 6-under par.

rnIt was Harigae’s 7th professional start where she has posted a runner-up finish at the iMPACT Invitational and a 4th place at the Texas Hill Country Classic. She moves to the top of the Money List with US$34,301.00 in prizemoney and is looking like an early favourite to take one of the five full-LPGA cards on offer at the end of the season.

rn• 4 times California Women’s Amateur Championship winner (2002-2005);
