Coffs Harbour is located midway between Sydney and Brisbane and is the ideal destination for golf and lifestyle! (CSIRO rating of best climate in Australia) The Coffs Harbour Golf Club features a superb 27 hole Championship Golf Course located in the heart of the city and is one of the most beautiful golf courses on the Mid North Coast. The Club features Bar, Restaurant and Function facilities and offers a range of facilities for members and house guests to enjoy. The Club is seeking a motivated General Manager to build on the Club&aposs successes and to drive golf membership, sponsorship and overall marketing and promotion of the facility. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the day-to-day running and strategic development of the Club and will report to the President and Board of Directors. Currently operational turnover exceeds $2.6 million with a mix of five salaried full time staff (three on course and two in the office). The full time waged employees and casual staff providing member services exceed twenty. Current full golfing Membership exceeds 800 with the capacity for 200 additional members. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development and implementation of key performance indicators of your own success and the efficient operation of staff providing member services and carrying out statutory requirements. You must possess and demonstrate sound financial management and computer skills including MYOB for club finances. Current software utilised includes; My Business Manager for management reporting, Membership Magic Thyme software, Inpos Stock Management and MiClub databases links with Poker Machine reporting through System Analysis and CMS and AUSTRAC Oversight. You will be comfortable with Server management and back up procedures. Your written and verbal communication skills will demonstrate your experience in staff leadership, business management, stakeholder and contractor negotiation and reporting. The General Manager will be responsible to the Board of Management for: Duties and Tasks Include (but are not limited to): Financial management and reporting including oversight of all cash handling and reconciliation, Strategic planning, direction and update, Marketing and promotion including web site development, Bar and beverage management, Human resource management both on course and clubhouse, Occupational Health & Safety both on course and clubhouse, Compliance and Corporate Governance including the Corporations Act, Registered Clubs Act and Regulations, the Liquor Act, Gaming Machines Act. To be the successful candidate you will: Demonstrate experience and empathy to golf, golf administration and marketing Have proven success in growing revenue at prior clubs or business Demonstrate sound financial management skills, Possess sound business acumen and be a hands on manager Be a leader with the ability to communicate both strategy and actions over all business levels using both written and verbal forms of communication Be analytical and able to address trends promptly and spot business opportunities (and then make them a reality), Be able to develop, adhere to and adjust a strategic business plan, Commit to ensuring that the Board of Directors is kept well informed, Tertiary Qualifications in a related field would be well regarded Above all, be diligent in your duties, honest and possess the highest level of integrity.
