The hogsback fairway sheds balls both left and right toward the fairway bunkers and for perhaps the only time in the round the middle of the fairway is the ideal line from which to approach the green. The bunker 40 meters short of the green on the right forces players to carry the hazard if they are to run onto the green from the right and judging the amount of run here is difficult and a problem only accentuated by the green sloping from front to back.
