Koreans dominate in Seoul

South Korean Ryu Hyun-Woo will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the GS Caltex Maekyung Open Championship, with the Australians out of contention. Ryu carded a five-under 67 in the third round on Saturday to move into 12 under at the OneAsia tournament, a shot clear of countryman Kim Hyung-Sung in Seoul. Locals dominate the leaderboard and a quartet are tied for third on nine under, including Kang Kyung-Nam, Lee Kyoung-Hoon, Kim Do-Hoon and Kim Dae-Sub. Ryu holed six birdies but bogeyed the par-four 12th in an impressive round, while only a bogey on the 18th cost Kim Hyung-Sung a share of the lead. Steve Jeffress and Jamie Arnold are the best-placed Australians at four under, but they appear to be too far back to pose a serious threat on Sunday. Jeffress and Arnold managed two-under 70s to be tied for 14th, while Matthew Griffin is a shot behind them at three under. Stephen Dartnall and Jake Higginbottom sit at two under to be the only other Australians under the card. Terry Pilkadaris, who shared the overnight lead after the opening round, endured another poor round, shooting a five-over 77 to drop back to even par and tied for 45th.
