rnJapan&aposs Miho Koga has won her second title in three weeks and her fourth of the season in the season-ending Japan LPGA Tour Championship. It was an 18th hole disaster by Yuri Fudoh that allowed Koga to defend the title she won last year and secure the money list title after the rich event presented a Yen25,000,000 winner&aposs cheque.

rnKoga started the final day three shots off the lead but shot a final round 4-under par 68, including birdies at the 17th and 18th holes to finish on 6-under par total 282 at the Miyazaki Country Club. She was the clubhouse leader with South Korea’s Mi-Jeong Jeon and Fudoh still on the course. Firstly, it was Jeon to falter, with a bogey, double-bogey finish saw her finish a shot behind Koga.

rnThen, with the title seemingly hers, Fudoh three-putted from just under 4-feet on the 72nd hole to also finish one shot behind Koga to finish level with Jeon at 5-under par 2total 283. Koga said afterwards, “This feels like a miracle. I feel like there was some other force at work out there. This has not sunk in yet.”
