Western Australian Ian McPherson has won the Australian Men&aposs Senior Match Play Championship 1up over New South Welshman Denis Dale at Thirteenth Beach Golf Links in Victoria. A member of Joondalup Country Club in Perth, McPherson is the first player from Western Australia to win the title. The Australian Men&aposs Senior Match Play Championship is open to the leading 32 players from the Australian Men&aposs Senior Ranking System; and a Super Senior Section for the leading 8 players aged 65 years and over. It is played over two and a half days, with players who are eliminated from the main championship progressing to consolation flights.
