MyGolfer of the month: January 2015

The MyGolf team congratulates the recipient of the January MyGolfer of the Month Award, Angus Tymms, from Clifton Springs, Victoria.

Nine-year-old Angus has been bitten by the golf bug after receiving a set of golf clubs for Christmas last year.

“Not knowing how to use all of his golf clubs correctly, Angus joined the MyGolf program at Ocean Grove Golf Club in January and has almost lived at the club since,” joked David Kee, Ocean Grove Golf Club MyGolf co-ordinator and deliverer.

Angus is very determined to improve his golfing skills and constantly practises everything he has been taught – week in, week out.

Since attending the MyGolf program, Angus has well and truly developed his golf skills and is now able to get out and play his home course.

Angus recently entered the 2015 MyGolf Shoot-Out competition held at 13th Beach Golf Links. The competition comprised driving, iron play, chipping and putting with points awarded according to the performance of the participants.

Not only did Angus win his division, he was proclaimed the overall MyGolf Shoot-Out champion.

Congratulations Angus, keep up the good work!
