Queensland made it three wins in the last four years with a narrow victory over New South Wales at the Australian Men’sInterstate Teams Matches at Tasmania Golf Club. The Queensland team defeated New South Wales 4.5-3.5 to seal the win in breezy conditions. Cameron Smith finished undefeated* for the champions while Callan O Reilly and Ricky Kato finished undefeated for New South Wales. Taylor MacDonald, Simon Viitakangas, James Gibellini and Jake McLeod were winners for Queensland on the final day. Home state Tasmania finished in third place after a 4-4 squared contest with Victoria in the first consolation final. Tasmania s Nathan Gatehouse defeated Nathan Holman in the top match while Sam Rawlings accounted for Victoria s Lucas Herbert 5&4. South Australia defeated Western Australia 6-2 in the second consolation final. Anthony Murdaca, Jack Williams and Heath Riches all recorded solid wins for the South Australians.
