Spargo has been in superb form finishing tied 4th at 16-under at the WA Open in October and gained significant media attention leading the Australian Master by one-shot heading into the final round to eventually finish tied 5th with scores of 70-67-71-73 (7-under) and earn a nice pay cheque.

Spargo finished tied 61st at the 2013 Australian Open with rounds of 74-71-78-72 (+7).

Another big tournment is on the cards for the 34 year old, who for a short period turned his back on a golf career to start a plumbing apprenticeship.
