With the final event at Southport complete the 2019 JGQ 18 Hole Points Challenge has drawn to a close. Played over the last 8 months the over 200 JGQ 18 Hole members have competed at various venues and facilities accumulating points for top 10 finishes. From the seven events played the top 4 scores counted towards the overall series winners.
Heading into the closing event on Sunday both the boys’ and girls’ titles were undecided, with key finishes determining the final results. Following on her recent form, with maximum points at both Hills International and Oxley, Amy Sullivan secured second on the day with a great round of 41 stableford points. This was enough to capture the top spot of Girls Overall Series winner from runner up Nicole Chen and third place finisher Shyla Singh.
Also coming home strong, with all four of his final rounds counting towards his series total, Kael Lawson was able to finish first in the Boys Overall Series. Showing great consistency and turning up to all 7 events throughout the year, Blake Davey took out second place by two points over Jackson Buckingham.
