Min Woo Lee last weekend put his name on a trophy that Tiger Woods has won three times.
But in doing the media rounds after his US Junior Boys Championship, the Perth 17-year-old has revealed his brush with the long-time world No.1 was also a key factor in his rise.
Lee was able to spend time with Woods at a clinic at Sage Valley, South Carolina, in April and told the world this week that the 14-time major champion had pushed him in the right training direction.
The Golf Australia national squad member said Woods told him to practise shots to targets on the range, rather than just blaze away with endless shots without purpose.
