Boulia announces chart topping act for OQM

The land of the Min Min lights on the edge of the Simpson Desert is set to come alive this month as the Outback Queensland Masters has just announced Queensland act, Busby Marou, to perform live in Boulia on the 22nd July, directly following the iconic Boulia Camel Races.

"We are extremely excited to bring an Aria Chart topping act to Boulia as part of the tournament", explained Luke Bates, Golf Operations and State Senior Manager – Queensland, Golf Australia.

“The reception by local residents and visitors in the towns we’ve toured so far, including Roma, Charleville and Longreach have been amazing. We are so impressed with the genuine hospitality of the people of Outback Queensland.  And with the 7 Sopranos performing in Winton and Busby Marou in Boulia coming up, what a way to warm up en route to the $1M hole-in-one in Mount Isa.”

“We are so excited to have our annual Camel Races directly followed by the Outback Queensland Masters” said Rebecka Britton, Race Coordinator and Boulia Shire Council Deputy Mayor. “It’s not every day our town of 300 people welcomes so many visitors.  We’re expecting over 3,000 over the course of the weekend and the Masters.  It’s looking like a record year ahead”.

“The Boulia Golf Course has also been preparing for the tournament, and with the recent rains, I don’t think the course has ever looked so good.”
Amateur and social golfers, first time swingers, visitors and spectators alike are set to be entertained by some of Australia's leading entertainment as they dine under the stars as part of the inaugural Outback Queensland Masters evening entertainment program.

As the 2019 Outback Queensland Masters continues through its journey through Outback Queensland, so does the entertainment from Winton, Boulia to Mount Isa with opera, comedy, bush poets, didgeridoo masters, bands and vocalists.

"We've also released online a special Outback Entertainment Pass which is the ticket to enjoy the dinner under the stars and live entertainment”, said Luke Bates. “Of course, for people who have a player or spectator pass, the live entertainment and dinner under the stars is already included in their pass."
