On Sunday 27 November 2016 Broadford Golf Club will open it’s doors to the local community and host a Family Fun Day.
The facility will come alive from 10am-4pm and give locals the opportunity to try a new sport in a fun and relaxed environment.
Swing Fit female golf sessions will run at 11am and 1.30pm with junior MyGolf sessions being offered throughout the day.
However the day will involve much more than just golf!
Broadford Golf Club will be transformed into a vibrant hotspot with pop up market stalls, live music, a sausage sizzle and the CFA fire truck, giving every member of the family something to enjoy.
Golf Victoria Regional Development Officer Megan Carr is excited to be a part of this event which will promote the sport of golf while also showcasing Broadford’s fantastic golf course and facilities.
“I encouraging anyone in the local area who is looking to try a new sport or just wanting to come and see what this club has to offer the community, to pop down and enjoy the day” said Carr.
“Golf is a terrific sport that provides a great social element and health benefits associated with remaining physically active. There’s sometimes a perception amongst our community that golf is too difficult to learn. It really isn’t, so why not come done and have a go and see for yourself,” Carr added.
“I look forward to supporting the Broadford Golf committee who are hosting to day and speaking with locals about what this fantastic club has to offer.”
