After battling injury and the cold weather for a week Chris Gray has won the 2019 Metropolitan Plate.
Gray shot a seven over par 79 along with Stephen Valentine but it was Gray’s birdie on the 16th which gave him the win in a countback.
It was Valentine’s second loss on a countback in a week however it was enough to see him move into first place on the 2019 Doug Bachli order of Merit.
In the women’s scratch stableford it was Melinda Crawford who won her third event in the past week.
21 points was enough for Crawford to win by four points from Marianne Stoettrup.
Also continuing a good patch of form was Tina Cowie who won her second women’s stableford prize for the week.
The men’s net section was taken out by Donald Parsonage who shot a one over par 73 off a handicap of seven.
Finishing closely behind was Thomas Hislop with a net score of 75.
