Queenslander Jamie Pitt has maintained his lead in the NSW Mid Amateur Championship after carding a second round four over par 75 at Bathurst Golf Club today.
Pitt, from Windaroo Lakes Golf Club, sits at five over par 147, two shots in front of Mona Vale’s Justin Hurst, who added a one over par 72 to his first round 77.

A trio of golfers sit in third place another two shots back, Antill Park’s Keith Shepherd, who shot the round of the day, an even par 71, James Ponder from Cromer, and defending Champion Mark Boulton of Phillip Island.

Defending Champion Jan Crichton has moved into the outright lead in the women’s Championship after carding a eight over par 80. She leads by a shot from the first round leader, Sharon Thompson who carded another 10 over par round to go with her first round 82.
The final round of the Championship will get underway at 7.00am tomorrow with the final group expected to hit off at 12.30pm.
