MyGolf big In Texas QLD

The Texas Golf Club located on the southern end of the Darling Downs is making some massive efforts on their junior golf front. With a very active population the country town has much to compete against for the attention of the juniors. But thanks to David Hayward spearheading the revamp of their junior sessions and the backing of a supportive board they have been able to attract up 28 kids to their Monday afternoon MyGolf Clinics.

Taking advantage of the reimbursement offered to each of the region’s clubs by the Darling Downs Golf Association, David completed his MyGolf Community Instructor accreditation and has been the consistent face for the parents and kids throughout the deliveries. The program is now in it’s second term of delivery and gives the attendees the chance to not only develop their physical skills but also the life skills that are on offer throughout our game.

With harsh dry conditions, remoteness and multiple oppositions for attention all working against them Texas Golf Club’s efforts cannot be commended enough. A big congratulations to all those involved. We hope that your junior scene continues to thrive.
