Rainbird Nets B Grade Crown

The Tasmanian Men’s B and C Grade Amateur Championships were conducted recently at the Oatlands and Scottsdale Golf Clubs.

 

Colebrook Golf Club’s Damien Rainbird took out the B Grade Championship following a sudden-death play-off with Campbell Town’s Victor Double at Oatlands.

 

The pair advanced to the play-off after finishing the 36-hole event on 167 with Rainbird defeating Double on the first extra hole.

 

The overall handicap championship fell to Campbell Town Golf Club’s Grant Richardson with a 36-hole net total of 139.

 

Local golfer Graeme Booth collected the corresponding C Grade Championship at the Scottsdale Golf Club following another play-off.

 

Booth and Ulverstone Golf Club’s Chris Chatwin tied for first place on 185 with Booth too strong for North West Coast golfer.

 

The handicap championship was collected by local golfer Scott Harris with 140 and was followed closely by Chatwin on 143.
