MEN'S METROPOLITAN MAJOR PENNANTS RESULTS – CLICK HERE
New South Wales GC were impressive accounting for Ryde-Parramatta 5-2 to pick up and early away win. Dean Van Kampen led the way with a solid 5&4 win, Andy Li and Zac Mullins both secured 4&3 wins that sees the La Perouse club lead their group after two rounds with two wins. Cronulla were comfortable winners at home defeating Mona Vale 5.5-1.5. Luke D’Apice was the pick of the Shire team results winning 9&7, with Shane Holden also notching up a 5&4 win.
Bonnie Doon bounced back after a shock lose at home last week to defeat Long Reef 5.5-1.5 at Long Reef. Joshua Bell was solid winning 6&5 with Sebastian Twaddell the pick of the rest winning 4&3. Pymble GC scored an vital win away defeating Bankstown 5-2. Pymble’s Corey Jones was the standout winning 6&5.
Avondale and The Australian GC go head to head over the next couple of weeks in section 3 after securing dominate wins and both being undefeated after two rounds.
2017 Champions, The Australian GC was far too strong defeating Macquarie Links 6-1. Jeffrey Guan 6&4 and Nicholas Fuller 6&5 were the pick of the bunch which saw back to back Avondale Medallist Blake Windred also comfortably win 4&2.
Avondale GC accounted for Pennant Hills 5.5-1.5 away. Jye Pickin was red hot early against Andrew Richards who could only watch as Jye Pickin piled on birdie after birdie followed by an eagle. Anthony Robson impressive win of 6&5 was the standout.
Moore Park and St. Michael’s couldn’t be separated after a tight contest at Moore Park. St. Michael’s John Lyras was the standout with an impressive winning 6&4. Hayden Gulliver fought hard to defeat NSW State team member Harrison Crowe 3&1 which saw the contest points halved as they played out a 3.5-3.5 draw. Concord capitalised on their superb win last week with a vital 4.5-2.5 away win against Castle Hill. NSW State Junior Corey Lamb got the best over Jordie Garner in a thriller, winning 1up on the last hole while Patrick Idquival was the standout winning 5&4 for the home team.
Both Lynwood and North Ryde were able to win at home this week after losing away last week. Lynwood defeated Liverpool 4-3 with Joe McPhillips and Aaron Goundan winning 4&2 for Lynwood to secure a solid home win. North Ryde had to fight to defeat Cromer 4-3. With big wins from Ben Wilson 7&6 and Ben Bury 6&5, the remaining five matches were all decided on the 17th hole & 18th hole.
Killara prevailed defeating Penrith 4-3 in another tight match which could have gone either way. Penrith’s Glen Douglas was the standout winning 6&4. Massey Park accounted for Fox Hills with a 4.5-2.5 win at home. Sandesh Sidhu was impressive winning 6&5 for the home team.
In section 3, The Lakes GC were far too strong defeating Bayview 6-1 away with strong wins from Jackson Ferans winning 8&7 and Alex Katholos winning 6&5. Twin Creeks returned the favour by clinching a close 4-3 away win at Glenmore Heritage. With two games decided on the last hole, Joshua Tolomeo was impressive winning 8&7 for the home team while Nicholas Cochrane was the standout winning 5&4 for Twin Creeks.
Stonecutters Ridge strolled to a comfortable 6-1 win against Cabramatta at home wiith impressive wins from Darcy Boyd 7&6 and Harrison Wilde 6&5.
Monash CC welcomed back NSW State Team Member Nathan Barbieri, who after his runner up finishes at the Australian Amateur & NSW Amateur and playing in the VIC Open, was able to secure a 1up win on the last hole helping Monash defeat Oatlands 4-3 away. Jordan Machay was the standout for Monash winning 6&5 while for the home team, Nicholas Murdoch was impressive winning 9&7.
Eastlake was too strong defeating Cumberland 6-1. Chris Hicks was impressive winning 6&5 and Mark Reynolds was next best winning 5&4. Royal Sydney strolled to a comfortable 5-2 win at home against Carnarvon. Hunter Hordern was the standout winning 6&5.
Wakehurst defeated Camden 5-2. Sean Hartman and Brett Mason were solid winning 5&4 for the home team. Manly’s trip to Campbelltown GC was well worth it as they were too strong with a 6-1 away win. Led by Julian Jackson 5&4 and Paul Bardetta 5&3 wins, the northern beach’s club find themselves on top with two wins from as many matches.
In section 3, Antill Park were able to hold out Muirfield 4-3 in a another tight match. Tom Burnus was the standout for the home team winning 5&3. While Lakeside GC picked up a nice away win over Brighton Lakes 5-2. Lakeside’s Robbie Minns was impressive winning 7&5.
Dunheved and Kogarah ended up sharing the points at Kogarah GC with a 3.5-3.5 draw. Kogarah’s Peter Cooper winning 4&3 was the standout for both teams in a tight encounter which saw all other matches decided down the 17th & 18th holes. Wallacia prevailed against Asquith 5-2 with Calvin Vidigal 4&3, Robert Walker and John Pagett both winning 4&2 to secure a win for the home team.
Richmond defeated Beverley Park 5.5-1.5 to claim their second win of the season. Richmond’s Craig Ellings was impressive winning 6&5. Zachary Kirk 5&3 and Jason Moss 5&4 were the other standouts. Bardwell Valley edged out Warringah 4.5-2.5. With local knowledge on their side, Ian Elliott and Lester Peterson were the standouts winning 5&3.
Strathfield were too strong at home accounting for Northbridge 6.5-0.5. It was all one-way traffic for the home team with big wins for Sean Twomey 7&5, Yongjun Kim 7&6 and Craig Delaney 6&4. The other match in section 2, Springwood CC have surged to the top of their group with a comfortable 6-1 over Windsor. Nigel Bles and David Limbach both had solid 5&4 wins, with Raymond Miller and Kyle Honeysett also able to see of their opponent winning 5&3.
Bexley and Marrickville had comfortable wins at home this weekend. Marrickville defeated Woolooware 5.5-1.5 with a solid win by Dane Jones 5&3. Woolooware’s Kurt Rugless winning 6&4 was the only joy for the shire club. Bexley prevailed 5-2 against a valiant Leonay team. Glen Davis winning 4&3 was his team’s best.
In Section 4, The Coast GC travelled to Kareela and continued where they left off from last week with another huge win over Kareela GC 6-1. Raymond Macey was impressive winning 8&6 with Carl Matthews 5&4 and Robert Abeni 5&3 also proving too strong in their away win. Led by Mark Upton winning 4&2, Palm Beach prevailed at Home in a tight encounter against Randwick 4.5-2.5.
Roseville were too strong at home accounting for Bondi 5.5-1.5. Daren Chan 6&5 and Shayne Stead 6&5 were the standout wins for the home team. Chatswood prevailed in a close encounter defeating Cammeray 5-2. Peter Hurley winning 5&4 was the standout for the home team.
Georges River defeated Macarthur Grange 4.5-2.5 away to secure their second straight win in section 2. Barnwell Park were able to secure a 4.5-2.5 win over Gordon. Trent Mills was the standout for the away team winning 9&7 but it was 9 year old Jason Hong of Barnwell Park, playing at number 1 who secured the win for the team on the last hole with a 1 up win.
In section 3, Riverside Oaks started their season off with a strong 5-2 away win at Rosnay GC. Big wins for Jeremy White 6&4, Emmanuel Aravanis 6&5 and Richard Quinlan 6&5 secured the vital away win for the team.

WOMEN'S DIVISION 1
Defending champions Concord and The Australian GC shared the spoils with a 2.5-2.5 draw at Concord GC. After teeing it up with Aussie Legend Karrie Webb at the Women’s Australian Open, Doey Choi continued her fine form with another solid win over Stefanie Hall 4&3. While Brielle Mapanao was the standout for the Australian GC outfit winning 5&4.
The Lakes GC turned around lasts weeks result prevailing 4-1 against Stonecutters Ridge. Led by Xanthe Macklinshaw winning 4&2, the home team managed to hold off the valiant efforts from the Colebee women which saw two matches halved and two decided on the 17th hole.
In section 2, Bonnie Doon and St. Michael’s made it two from two with away wins before their upcoming matches in the next 2 weeks. Bonnie Doon were too strong early for Castle Hill with big wins from Taylor Newlin 9&8, Ashleigh Arnold 6&5 and Suzanne Fairhurst 5&4 which in the end was enough to prevail 3.5-1.5.
The rivalry between neighbour clubs New South Wales GC and St. Michael’s GC was at its best again with the final result being decided by the last two pairing on the course. An early win for Zoe Ticehurst of New South Wales GC winning 6&5 was matched by 4&3 wins from St. Michael’s Casey Cook and Danielle Vasquez.
NSW State team members Stephanie Kyriacou and Kelsey Bennett were pushed all the way in nail bitting matches which saw Olivia Wilson defeat Stephanie Kyriacou 1up and Kelsey Bennett secure the 3-2 win for St. Michael’s GC with a 1up win over Gemma Dooley.
WOMEN'S DIVISION 2
Avondale GC prevailed at home defeating Cronulla 3-2. Led by NSW State team member Grace Kim winning 10&8, backed up with solid wins from June Song 7&5 and Kara Williams 5&4. Penrith and Ryde-Parramatta could not be separated and shared the points in a 2.5-2.5 draw. Colette Blacklock was Ryde-Parramatta’s standout winning 4&3 while Isabelle Mansfield 4&3 win was the home teams best for the day.
In section 2, Moore Park accounted for Pymble 4-1 and picked up their first win of the season. Anna Booth winning 4&2 and Angela Liu winning 5&3 were Moore Park’s standouts while Pymble’s Annika Boyd chalked up her second win against Lucie Quilliam winning 4&2. North Ryde defeated Cumberland 3-2. Led by Rebecca Yao winning 4&2, North Ryde has secured their second win for the season and an early away win which has them on top in this section.
