Ryde Parramatta pair clinch Pewter Plate

The NSW Women's Pewter Plate will be heading to Ryde Parramatta Golf Club in 2020

Enid McGuigan and Youngmin Son have claimed the 2019 Women's Pewter Plate played at Bayview Golf Club with a combined Aggregate Stableford total of 68 points. The pair battled the windy conditions and tough layout to secure the title by three shots from Monash pairing Rosemary Hickey and Narelle Cheeseman and Windsor's Tina McDougall and Jacquelene Garnsey. Both pairs finishing with combined Aggregate Stableford totals of 65 points.

Both Enid and Youngmin played solid golf throughout the day and both returned scores of 34 points each. But the best individual score of the day belonged to Windsor's Tina McDougall with 37 points who helped secure runner up in the Teams event with her partner Jacquelene.

"I played here on saturday in a practice round and only scored five points."

"What a big improvement today was." smiled Tina.

"The course was beuatiful and I really enjoyed the day."

Having already received a prize for coming runner up in the Teams Event with her partner Jacquelene, Lynwood's Margot Egner was awarded the Individual prize with the next best score of an impressive 36 points, closely followed by Lynn Wells of North Ryde GC who received runner up with 35 points on a count back.

The 2019 Women's Pewter Plate is being played at beautiful Bayview Golf Club on Monday 15th July. 

The Women's Pewter Plate is an 18 Hole Aggregate Stableford competition for teams of two players from each golf club with GA Handicaps from 29.1 to 45.4.

The Event is played on one course, which is determinded by the results of the previous year's competition.

Each club entering the competition nominates two players to compete and the team with the best aggreagate stabelford scores of the two scores is awarded the Women's Pewter Plate.
