Smith a Queensland Sport Star finalist

Cameron Smith has been announced as a finalist for the Queensland Sport Star of the Year award at the Queensland Sport Awards which will take place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre tonight.

The World No. 33 is an exemplary advocate for golf in Australia, highlighted by his virtue to ‘give back’.

The 25-year-old is Australia’s third highest ranked player with seven top-10 finishes this season, and recently representing Australia at the World Cup alongside Marc Leishman.

Smith is one of 11 nominees for the prestigious award and is hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow stateman Jason Day who received the honour in 2015.

The 24th annual Queensland Sport Awards Presentation is a black tie event and will be held on Wednesday 28 November, 2018 in the Plaza Ballroom, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Plaza Ballroom at 6:30pm.
