Special Olympics and Golf Vic

Special Olympics participants on the road to Adelaide in 2018

As we head closer to the eve of the Special Olympics Golf Masters in Macau, It is worthwhile just appreciating the value of partnerships with organisations like Special Olympics.

An international organisation with national, state, local and club representation, Special Olympics creates international pathways for golfers with an intellectual disability.

Special Olympics athletes get the opportunity to participate and compete in monthly local competitions, a state open championship and a pathway to the national Special Olympics Games in Adelaide in 2018.

Pair this amazing pathway for athletes with a universally designed participation program like MyGolf and you link all of the pieces together.

Accelerate this great program with an accredited inclusive coach with the PGA of Australia and you have the ultimate start in golf.

Golf Victoria currently has three Special Olympics MyGolf Programs operating in term two at Sandhurst Club, Sandringham Golf Course and Pakenham & District Golf Course. All programs are run by PGA professionals with an additional accreditation in inclusive coaching.
