THE DRAW: #WomensAusOpen round 1

Australia's top-ranked player Minjee Lee will start her charge at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open on Thursday morning up against two other top-10 players.

Lee, 23, ranked eighth in the world, is grouped with world No. 3 Nelly Korda of the United States and South Korea's world No. 9 Jeongeun Lee6 at Royal Adelaide.

They will go from the 10th tee at 7.44am this morning, soon after the 7am hit-off for the first of the 144 players in the field.

Australia's most recent major winner Hannah Green is due to tee off at 12.34 on Thursday alongside former Australian Open champion Lydia Ko and last week's ISPS Handa Vic Open winner, Hee Young Park of South Korea.

Seven-time major winner Inbee Park is in a red hot 12.45pm group with Australia's world No. 57 Su Oh and last week's Vic Open runner-up and former world No. 1, Korean So Yeon Ryu.

The Women's Australian Open is co-sanctioned by the LPGA Tour and the ALPG.

The prizepool is $US1.3 million.
