Trimax Sand Greens Championship

Andrew Brennan has won the 2016 Trimax NSW Sand Greens Championship.  The Walcha local, Andrew used his home course knowledge to win the event by nine strokes to Walgett's Neil Newton  The sand greens players were treated to one of the best sand greens layouts in the country in fantastic condition. Andrew adds the singles event to the Fourball Championship he won with his father in March at Hay Golf Club.

The Brennan family appear on the trophy previously, with Andrew's brother Luke winning in 2013 at Barraba.  Andrew is now moving into the professional ranks, commencing his traineeship at Tamworth early next year.

The Teams event was won convincingly by the Walcha team of Tim Beaumont, Simon Cross and Vic Coulter, by 13 strokes.

The NSW Veteran's Championships were also held in conjunction.  Murrurindi's Phil Ledgerwood won this event. The list of prize winners for the Veteran's are listed below.

Murrurundi's Phil Ledgerwood won the 36 hole nett.
