Welcome to MyGolf Presents

‘MyGolf Presents…’ brings to life the unique stories, characters, experiences and fun of MyGolf. It shines a light on MyGolf deliverers, participants, clubs, facilities and clinics all around Australia, as well as the stories of our ambassadors, including Jason Day.

At the 2018 ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth, the two greatest beards in golf faced off in a Connect 4 challenge as Englishman Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston battled Aussie Jack ‘Pineapple’ Wilson. The MyGolf kids had an awesome time and Australia is definitely claiming another victory over the Poms!

Since we first saw this little guy as a five-year-old, he’s helped us get a MyGolf centre up and running in his home town of Armidale and has appeared on the Jimmy Fallon Show with Jordan Spieth and Jason Day! So, this amazing experience at the 2017 Emirates Australian Open was a standard day in the life of Isaac Riches!

Minjee Lee is a global superstar and one of the most consistent performers on the LPGA Tour. She’s also a proud West Aussie who loves giving back to the game as an ambassador for MyGolf. At the 2018 ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, she took some time out to test her skills against some local MyGolfers.

You might know this guy. He’s from Beaudesert, Queensland and is Australia’s most recent major champion. He’s also a proud MyGolf ambassador whose best mates to this day are the kids he grew up playing golf with. It sounds like they’ve had a lot of fun along the way and they’re still competitive on the golf course!

Meet Isaac. He’s just turned five and already drives the ball up to 115m! We were lucky enough to spend some time with him at the 2016 Emirates Australian Open, where he buzzed around – chipping, putting and ripping seven-irons – and left us grinning from ear to ear. We know he’s a special talent, but it was his enthusiasm, energy and love of golf that made us think he’d be the perfect person to help us show just how much fun golf is for kids. We can’t wait to see how this little man goes from here.

One of the many great things about having kids is they don’t care whether you’ve had a good day or a bad day. They just want to hang out and play. Even if you’re a major champion like Jason Day!

From caddying for the pros and high-fives with winner Brett Rumford to learning new skills and teaching Alex Noren how to bowl right arm fast, our MyGolfers had an amazing time meeting some of their heroes at the ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth this year.

Meet Siobhan. She started playing golf at nine years of age when she went to the range with her grandpa. She’s 11 now and has learned heaps at MyGolf. She’s adopted the cartwheel as her own trademark birdie celebration and nothing makes her laugh like her mum trying to emulate it! She loves to listen to music when she plays and practices and we’re hoping that getting a handicap this year will help her resist the lure of basketball and netball, which she also loves.

Can you remember the first good shot you ever hit? Jason Day’s memory of his couldn’t be clearer, and it wasn’t on a golf course!

Meet Adam. Having started in prep, he’s been playing golf for three years. He’s now nine years old and is turning convention on its head by inspiring his own family to play. He is the first member of his family to play and thinks his dad is a pretty lucky golfer. Adam was inspired by watching his namesake Adam Scott playing golf in Australia, and hopes to beat Jason Day one day!

MyGolf is THE place to learn golf for Aussie kids, and look where it can take you! The first two shots of the 2017 Emirates Australian Open were hit by 9-year-old Ruby Kavanagh and a 5-year-old Isaac Riches. It was a special day that melted our hearts!

In 2018, for the first time (at selected venues), MyGolf is running programs just for girls. So, girls, get your team together and get into golf. See you out there!

One minute you're in a MyGolf program, the next you're caddying for the 2017 Masters champion Sergio Garcia. Only MyGolf gives kids experiences like these.

Australia's MyGolfers get to experience amazing days like these at the 2017 Australian PGA Championship. It all starts when you register at your local MyGolf centre, so what are you waiting for?
