The team representing West Lakes Golf Club, members Marilyn Wildy and Hayden Barr, online contest winner Graham Taylor and PGA Professional Tony Christie are the winners of the Golf SA – Golf Month Par 3 Contest, played on Friday 7 October at the Par 3 on Torrens, North Adelaide.
Golf SA held the event to celebrate Golf Month this October, to give the public the opportunity to play with PGA professionals and to also reward club who are actively participating in Golf Month.
Ten groups played on the day, with each team of 4 players, grouped by Golf SA, consisting of; a PGA Professional, an online competition winner and a male and female club member, nominated by their club after Golf SA randomly selected 10 active Golf Month Facilities to participate.
The best three scores of the four were recorded on each hole and after 18 holes the winning group finished with a fantastic score of 2-over (164).
The three Amateurs in the winning team each receive, a Puma Golf Stand, but more importantly two Clubhouse passes and two passes for ‘inside the ropes’ access on Sat 18 February 2017 at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open at Royal Adelaide Golf Club.
West Lakes Golf Club representatives Marilyn Wildy and Hayden Barr also win for their club a $1,000 marketing grant to be used on a marketing campaign facilitated by Golf SA and 20 individual day passes to the 2017 Women’s Australian Open.

Adrian Braddock 3-over (57) best score of the 10 Competition winners
Marilyn Wildy (West Lakes GC) 3-over (69) best Score of the 10 Women Club Members
Martin Gwilliam (Mount Osmond) GC 3-over (57) best Score of the 10 Male Club Members
Tony Christie 2-under (52) best score of the 10 Professionals
Simon MacWhirter & Chris Duke 1-under (53) Tie Runner Up Professionals
