16 year old selected for Junior Golf Committee

Sixteen year old Priya Khanna, a member from the Riversdale Golf Club in Victoria, has joined the recently created Australian Junior Golf Committee. Priya s exciting role provides her with the opportunity to make a difference in the future of Australian golf and she has already provided significant input into discussions. Playing off a handicap of six, Priya was recommended by Women’s Golf Victoria. The position on the Committee ensures a junior s point of view is considered in all discussions and decisions which add to the future development of policies and strategies that foster participation in junior golf. Other Committee members include representatives from each state, Golf Australia, the PGA and the Australian Sports Commission. The Committee&apossrole is to oversee and implement the strategies of Golf Australia s Junior Plan, Vision 2018, The Future of Junior Golf in Australia which is to be released shortly.
