For the past four years, top Australian Golfers, Paul Gow and Peter Lonard have successfully hosted a Charity Golf Day in Sydney. The Golf Day will again be held at The Lakes Golf Club benefiting not only Ian Thorpe s Fountain for Youth but also Pat Rafter s Cherish the Children, undoubtedly two very worthy causes. The Gow & Lonard Charity Golf Day is designed for business to enjoy and entertain their clients. With the help of some of Australia&aposs premier sporting and television personalities, the Gow & Lonard Charity day helps to support both Pat s and Ian s wonderful charities and raises much needed funds and awareness said Mick Graham, Player Manager. Proceeds to date are over $500,000 and both Paul and Peter are hopeful of reaching the magical $1,000,000. To assist, Golf Australia has kindly provided a booth at the MFS Australian Open at Royal Sydney. The boys have called on their mates. Jimmy Barnes has again put his hand up and provided signed copies of his new karaoke DVD which will be on sale at the Australian Open with all proceeds going to Patrick Rafter s Cherish the Children and Ian Thorpe s Fountain for Youth.
