2006 MFS AUSTRALIAN OPEN � REGIONAL QUALIFYING

HOBART DRAW RELEASED MONDAY 9 OCTOBER – SEE BELOW
INFORMATION FOR COMPETITORS Qualification for Final Qualifying Currently, 1 position in the Final Qualifying field will be available to competitors in the Hobart Regional Qualifying competition (confirmation of the number will be made on the morning of the event, prior to the commencement of your round). Should there be a tie for the last available position(s), such that that position(s) remains undecided, those competitors in such a tie SHALL CONTINUE IN A SUDDEN-DEATH, HOLE-BY-HOLE PLAY-OFF, which will be conducted immediately upon the conclusion of the scheduled event. No alternate places will be required. Any competitor in the play-off not ready to play when called will be disqualified. Note Winners of Regional Qualifying competitions will not be exempt into the 2006 Championship Proper. Final Qualifying Final Qualifying will be played on Monday 13 November at Long Reef Golf Club, Monash Country Club, and St Michael s Golf Club. Regional Qualifiers will be invoiced for the balance of the $220.00 entrance fee (ie $120.00). Practice All competitors are entitled to ONE free practice round starting times MUST BE PRE-BOOKED by phoning Claremont Golf Club on (03) 9249 1000. From daily tee markers only one ball only competitors only. All competitors must check-in with the pro shop prior to commencing their round. Dress During both practice and competition, competitors and their caddies must ensure a standard of dress in keeping with national championships. Jeans, t-shirts, and garments with excessive advertising are not permitted on the course or in the clubhouse. Shirts must be tucked in; golf shoes must be worn. Only soft spikes are permitted. In addition, competitors must ensure that they and their caddies adhere to the host club s dress regulations at all times. Players failing to comply with these requirements will not be permitted access to the course. Driving Clubs NEW CONDITION The driver the player carries must have a clubhead, identified by model and loft, that is named on the current List of Conforming Driver Heads issued by R&A Rules Limited. Note: Any individual driver on the List, if tested on pendulum apparatus approved by R&A Rules Limited, must not have a characteristic time greater than 257 microseconds. (The list may be viewed at www.randa.org.) Penalty: Disqualification Balls with Identical Markings to be Used Throughout a stipulated round, the balls a competitor uses must be of the same brand and type as detailed by a single entry in the current list of Conforming Golf Balls. Penalty Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred, maximum penalty per round; four strokes.
