Where: New South Wales Golf Club (22-29 March) Registration: Competitors are required to register between 10:30am and 3:00pm on Wednesday 21 March at New South Wales Golf Club. Competitors will be required to provide their Golf Link number and a Sydney contact phone number at this time. Failure to register may result in disqualification from the Championship. If it is impossible to register in person, competitors must contact the Championship Office on registration day (0414 696 810). Course Guides: Yardage books will be available on the 1st tee on the practice day, Wednesday 21 March, at $20 per book. Tournament Welcome BBQ Lunch & Presentation Cocktail Party: All players are invited to attend the Championship Welcome BBQ Lunch and Presentation Cocktail Party to be held at New South Wales Golf Club on Wednesday 21 March, commencing at 2:00pm. Dress Smart Casual or Golfing Attire. Presentation Cocktail Party (includes finger food & drinks) to be held at New South Wales Golf Club on Sunday 25 March, commencing at 6:00 pm. Dress is Smart Casual (ie no jacket or tie required). Practice: A practice round is available on Wednesday 21 March only. From daily tee markers only one ball only competitors only! (Competitors in breach of these practice conditions are liable to face action under Golf Australia s Code of Conduct.) Practice balls are available from the Pro Shop. Competition Conditions: Please refer to the Championship Conditions as listed on the entry form, particularly to starting times and pace of play. Competitors are requested to report to the starter 15 minutes prior to the advertised starting time. Score cards, Local Rules and hole placement sheets will be distributed by the starter at your particular starting tee. Driving Clubs Condition IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!: The driver the player carries must have a clubhead, identified by model and loft, that is named on the current List of Conforming Driver Heads issued by R&A Rules Limited. Note: Any individual driver on the List, if tested on pendulum apparatus approved by R&A Rules Limited, must not have a characteristic time greater than 257 microseconds. (The list may be viewed via www.randa.org) Penalty: Disqualification Balls with Identical Markings to be Used:: Throughout a stipulated round, the balls a competitor uses must be of the same brand and type as detailed by a single entry in the current list of Conforming Golf Balls. The current list of Conforming Golf Balls can be viewed via www.randa.org (see Rules / Equipment / Conforming Golf Balls). Draw for 3rd & 4th Stroke Play Rounds: There will be 72 holes of stroke play to qualify 32 players for elimination match play. After 36 holes of stroke play, the field will be cut to the leading 70 players plus ties (please note that this is a change to the condition published in the entry form). The draws for the 3rd & 4th Rounds will be seeded. The 3rd Round draw will be available from the Championship Office as soon as possible after Round 2. The draw for the 4th Round will be available from the Championship Office as soon as possible after Round 3. Results & Draws: All results and draws will be posted at www.golfaustralia.org.au. Ties for last available places in Match Play Rounds: In the event of a tie for the last match play places after the qualifying rounds, a sudden-death, hole-by-hole, play-off will be held immediately after the 4th qualifying round has concluded on Sunday 25 March, or, if necessary due to insufficient light, the next morning. Any competitor in the play-off not ready to play when called will be disqualified. New South Wales Golf Club Information (including dress requirements): At New South Wales Golf Club “soft” spikes are the preferred option. No metal spikes are allowed in the clubhouse except locker rooms. Players, officials and caddies must adhere to the following dress requirements traditionally-collared shirt, tailored slacks or knee-length tailored walk shorts with long white (or white with the logo of either a recognised golf club or the body they are representing) socks that are pulled up. Short socks above the ankle are also permitted under the following guidelines must be either plain white or white with the logo of either a recognised golf club or the body they are representing. No cargo pants or cargo shorts. Casual shoes with socks if wearing shorts in the clubhouse (no runners or open toe shoes). Spectators to observe dress code for entry to clubhouse, except locker room/toilets on lower ground floor. Jeans and garments with excessive advertising are not permitted on the courses or in the clubhouses. Competitors must ensure that at all times their standard of dress is appropriate for a national championship. Mobile phones to remain switched off on the course and in the clubhouse. May be used in the car park only. Local competitors and those travelling by car are requested to use their own pull carts. Players should also consider using lightweight golf bags. Catering: Catering will be available in the clubhouse. Mobile Phones: Mobile telephones may not be used on the golf courses during competition play under any circumstances.
