200th pennant match for Cooper

Killara Golf Club member, Simon Cooper (pictured on left), has achieved a rare and truly praiseworthy Club record. Last Sunday Simon played his 200th Major Pennant match for Killara against Carnarvon Golf Club.

After joining the Club in 1984 as a  talented 16 year old, he played his first Club Pennant match in 1987.  In the ensuing 31 years, Simon has missed only one Pennant match and his record includes being part of Killara's Championship-winning teams in 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1998.

Simon's favourite memory is winning the 1992 championship against Manly after sinking two crucial putts on consecutive playoff holes. Undefeated in the 2014 season, and currently undefeated in 2015, Simon can be justifiably proud of his record.
