The team from Ryde Parramatta won the 2011 Women’s Coronation Medal held at both Concord and Castle Hill Golf Clubs today, Monday 12 September. The runners up were Concord who have won for the past two years and were pleased to see another club take out this prestigious team event. The winning team players from Ryde Parramatta were Cecilia Song, Katherine Peck, Cheryl Fairclough and Jayoun Hong who won with a total aggregate nett score of 306 which was ten in front of the runners up Concord. Shelly was excited to win and at the presentation thanked her team mates for the day and congratulated them all on their good play. The team for Concord was Shelly Shin, Rhonda Magner, Liz White and Janelle O Halloran. The nett winner at Concord was Adelle Pearson from Oatlands. Adelle was presented with her award for nett winner at Concord scoring a 70 (on count back) to take out the win. Adelle was of course very proud of her win and congratulated her team in particular for a great team effort. The event is played on two courses, which are determined by the results of the previous year s Competition. Each Club entering the competition nominates the players to represent it and the courses on which each pair will compete. The Coronation Medal is awarded to the team with the best aggregate of four net scores.
