Photo Gallery Prize Winners Full Results DAY TWO – Sunday 28 August 2011 Day two of the 2011 Women’s Weekend Tournament at The Vintage Golf Club was a teams v par event with both morning and afternoon fields. It was a perfect Hunter Valley day with a little mist over the mountains early on with the sun breaking through to provide the best of golfing weather. The hot air ballons floated over the Vintage course througout the morning providing quite a specticle for the players. Winners from the morning field were Fiona Montgomery, Angela Cafe, Karen Psaltis and Jeanette Irons from North Ryde Golf Club. They had a +13 to take the win. At the presentation team representative Fiona thanked Golf NSW and The Vintage for a great weekend and stated that her team left a couple of plus&aposs begging although overall they were happy with their game. Runners-up were the team from Kogarah of Dympna Duffy, Sally Kirkright, Mary Quill and Lillian Seeto who had a +12c/b. Third place went to Denese Kennedy, Kate Moloney, Sheena Gunn all from Wauchope and their forth team member Dianne Wongsoong was from Wakehurst. Winning morning field team from North Ryde, Fiona Montgomery, Angela Cafe, Karen Psaltis and Jeanette Irons had a +13 to take the win Winners of the afternoon round were Vanetha Lam, Carol Van Milder, Elaine Dawson from Rosnay Golf Club and Alice Casey from Cabramatta Golf Club. They had a +14 and won the afternoon teams event on a countbank. Spokesman of the team, Elaine, stated that the friendship of the Golf NSW weekend tournament was exceptional and all players look forward to the event from year to year. Runners-up with a +14 also, were the Port Macquarie team of Christine Dickson, Annette Tremaine, Fran Scutts and Margaret Bateman. The team accepted their prize and team member Margaret congratulated all the winners and thanked The Vintage for presenting a great golf course. Third placed team of Jenny Leonard from Bankstown and from Camden Lakeside, Leannne Mathews, Jane Mathison and Lorraine Head had a +13 c/b. The team has been attending the event since inception and received a major prize for the first time this year. They were understandably very happy with the award. The winning team of Vanetha Lam, Carol Van Milder, Elaine Dawson from Rosnay Golf Club and Alice Casey from Cabramatta Golf Club DAY ONE – Saturday 27 August 2011 The day was very cool and dewy for the start 7.30am shot gun start, although all players were ready and keenly awaiting Annette Baggie, Golf NSW Women’s Match Committee to start the field. The 12.30pm shot gun was a little late commencing due to the changeover of motorised carts but all competitiors managed to complete their round well before dark. The winner of Saturdays Single Stableford event in Division One was Janelle O Halloran from Concord with 41 points. This was a great effort with The Vintage playing long and tough today. Division Two winner was Rayma Pattrick from Concord with 43 points again an solid score which Rayma was very excited to achieve. Runner-up in Division One was Carolyn Campbell, Charlestown with 38 points and third place went to a very happy Margaret Bain Smith from Concord also who had 36. Division One Winner – Janelle O&aposHalloran form Concord, 41 points with Annettte Baggie, Golf NSW Match Official Division Two Winner was Rayma Patrick from Concord Golf Club with 43 points. Runner-up was Andrea Hood from Magenta Shores scoring 41 points and third place went to Anne Martin from Wakehurst with 37 points on a countback. Division Two Winner – Rayma Patrick from Concord, 43 points with Golf NSW Match Official, Julie Jones An Eagle for Ruth Chuter! An excited Ruth Chuter came in to the Club House having an eagle on the 13th Ruth stated even the 6 pointer didn t help . Ruth was happy with her achievement all the same. Annette Coulombe from Bankstown jumping with joy after chipping in from 100 meters out of the 2nd hole! EVENT FORMAT The format for Saturday s event is a Single Stableford with 2 shotgun starts – 7.30am and 12.30pm. Played in 2 divisions over the field plus to 26 and 26 to 45 + ball comp. Sunday s event is a Four Person Team V Par with one score to count with two shotgun starts – 7.30am and 12.30pm. Prizes are awarded for both the morning and afternoon fields for first, runner-up and third placed teams.
