Rio Watanabe from Yarra Yarra GC has won the 2012 Kookaburra Trophy held at Kooringal Golf Club. Overcast and still conditions made for some great golf, evident with Rio shooting 4 under, ahead of strong field which included Su-Hyun Oh, Montana Strauss and Julienne Soo. The best Nett score of the day was by Abbey Trinca from Lakeside GC. Huge thanks to Marilyn Cornish, Lynn Foote and Judy Letson from Kooringal GC for making it a successful day.
