Tom Power Horan (Cheltenham) and Julienne Soo (Woodlands) have won the 2013 Ivo Whitton and Champions Trophy respectively.
In the Ivo Whitton, Tom finished with an adjusted average of 68.041 from the 24 rounds that contributed to his average. Noticable performances from Tom were wins in the Boroondara Cup and Portsea Open Amateur. Tom becomes the 37th player to have won the Ivo Whitton Trophy. Runner Up for the 2013 season was DJ Loypur (The Heritage) with an average of 69.291. Third was Charles Wright (Sanctuary Lakes) with an average of 69.458.
In the Champions Trophy, Julienne finished with an adjusted average of 67.666 from the 12 rounds that contributed to her average. Soo played some exceptional golf this year, including an impressive appearance at the Victorian Women’s Open finishing at even par for the four rounds. Soo also had a 4th place finish at the Dunes Medal and more recently a 3rd place finish at the Port Phillip Amateur. Runner Up was Bianca Ling (Kingswood) with an average of 68.666 with Jessica Dengate (Sandhurst) placing 3rd recording a 68.916 average.
The 2014 Ivo Whitton & Champions Trophy entries are now open with the first event at Goonawarra on Friday 3 January. The 2014 rankings have had some major changes with now some Golf Australia Ranking events to be included. The entry is now also FREE!
