2013 South Australian Aboriginal Peoples Championship

Aboriginal Peoples Championship Competitors The 2013 South Australian Aboriginal Peoples Championship was held at the North Adelaide Golf Course on 26 April. The annual event was played in perfect weather and on the very well presented South Course at North Adelaide. Overall a record field of 70 up from 52 last year contested The Championship, which was open to male and female Aboriginal amateur golfers who are members of Clubs affiliated with GOLF SA and who hold a current Golf Australia handicap. A 9 and 18 hole participation event was also held for the casual golfer. Mark Archdale from Westward Ho Golf Club took out the Men’sChampionship with a gross score of 82 while Senior Men’sChampion was Eric Bray who shot 86. Nerida Saunders from North Adelaide Golf Club cleaned up in the Women’s divisions winning the Ladies Championship with a score of gross 106, while May Turner took out the Senior Ladies Gross event All players had a great time and much of that credit goes to the sponsors and organisers of the event including the Office for Sport and Recreation, Australian Electoral Commission, Housing SA, SA Health Commission, ADAC and the Adelaide City Council
