Today players are at Gold Creek and Queanbeyan Golf Courses playing in the Teams V Par event of the 2013 Women’s Autumn Meeting. Gold Creek – Teams Winners of the teams event at Gold Creek on a score +7 were Pamela Barker (Bowral, 24), Judith Kent (Pymble, 24), Sheila Lennon (New South Wales, 23) and Elaine Wilson (Murrumbidgee, 27), winning on a countback from Susan Gardiner (Beverley Park, 20), Roslyn Jackson (Queanbeyan, 26), Robin Mason (Bayview, 41) and Carolyn (Bayview, 33), in third place, also on +7 was thegroup from Mona Vale, Julie Bennett (27), Kay Harris (29), Laimy Hicks (28) and Pamela Lindsay (22). Gold Creek Teams Leaderboard Queanbeyan – Teams Team event winners, on a great score of + 11 at Queanbeyan today was Dianne Crook (Bayview, 27), Shannon Howe (Cammeray, 30), Lorraine Sullivan (Wakehurst, 18) and Jenny Webb (Wakehurst, 31). Two behind on +9 were local ladies from Federal, Pamela Ferrar (25), Barbara Gray (20), Susan Serjeanston (31) and Mary Stone (10). In third place on a score of +7 were Merilyn Newbury (Koonidah Waters, 31), Jennifer Richards (Wyong, 20), Diane Soetens (Kooindah Waters, 26) and Rhonda Thompson (Wyong, 9). Wednesday 1 May 2013 – Foursomes
Players are participating today in the foursomes at Capital for division one and Fairbairn for division two. Division One Foursomes Kate Roche and Jacqueline Thomson (19) from Warringah had a 72 nett to win the division one nett event at Capital Golf Club today. Runners Up was Moss Vale s Brenda Campbell and Bronwyn Walton (23.5) with a 73.5 nett. Kaye Morrison from Kogorah and Gillian Virginie from Concord (19) had a 74 nett to be in third place. Campbelltown s Annette Evans and Janet O Brien from Macquarie Links won the scratch for the day with an 89 off the stick.

Today was the first round of the 36-hole stroke event held at Yowani Country Club for Division One and Federal Golf Club for Division Two. Division One Paige Stubbs from Pennant Hills took out the ACT Championship Cup for division one on a total of 163 with rounds of 81 at Yowani and 82 at Gungahlin Lakes. Royal Canberra s Liz Smyth was runner up on a total of 174, rounds of 85 and 89. The 36-hole nett winner was Marian Byrnes from Yowani with a total of 141 nett. Nett Runner Up was Jane Shirlow from Moss Vale with a total net score of 150. Division One – Overall Prize Winners Division One Leaderboard Division Two Division Two s Seat of Government Cup was won by Moss Vale s Brenda Campbell with scores of 99 at Federal and 107 at Queanbeyan, a total 206. One stroke behind to come in runner up, Lana Debnam from Wakehurst had scores of 105 and 102 to have a total score of 207. Nett winner was Castle Hill&aposs Bronwyn Cover (37) with a total nett score of 149. Esther Pershouse (33) from Camden had a total nett score of 152 to come runner up.

Division One Paige Stubbs (Pennant Hills) had an eight over par 82 today to go into the final round 3 shots clear of local Liz Smyth (Royal Canberra). Yowani s Marian Byrnes (17) had a nett score of 72 to win the daily event. Division One Prize Winners Division One Leaderboard Division Two Brenda Campbell (Moss Vale) shot 99 today, one in front of Karen Parker (The Coast). Nett winner was Lesley Kelly (44) from Campbelltown with 72 nett. Tomorrow players are at Gungahlin Lakes for division one and Queanbeyan for division two. 150 women will compete in this year s Women’s Autumn Meeting being held at Capital, Fairbairn, Federal, Gold Creek, Gungahlin Lakes, Queanbeyan and Yowani Golf Club&aposs on Monday 29 April to Thursday 2 May 2013. The Women’s Autumn Meeting is open to female amateurs who hold a current Australian or overseas equivalent handicap. It is held over four days, across a number of courses in the ACT region. The format is stroke play over 36-holes, 18-holes on day one, and 18-holes on day two (played in two divisions), followed by 18-holes foursomes on day three, and best ball teams v par on day four. The Presentation will be held on Tuesday 30 April 2013 at Yowani Country Golf Club at 6.30pm. DRAW AND PLAYER INFORMATION Prizes will be awarded for: Division 1 and Division 2 Singles Stroke 36-hole Tournament – Scratch winner and runner-up, nett winner and runner-up 18-hole Daily Events – Scratch winner, nett winner and runner-up Foursomes – Divisions 1 and Division 2 – Stroke 18-hole Tournament – Scratch winners and nett winners, runners-up and third place Four person Teams V Par Winners, runners-up and third place awarded over the field at each course Good luck to all in the Tournament.
