Conditions were exceptional today at Oatlands Golf Club for the 2013 Women’s NSW Gold Medal Playoff. Oatlands Golf Club is in exceptional condition leading up to the Women’s NSW Open in a couple of weeks, and scores proved that the course is extremely testing this time of year. There were only two players in the field that were able to really conquer the tough layout both having a great score of 72 nett. Metropolitan Results Metropolitan Results The Metropolitan Gold Medal winning score of 72 was posted by Helen Garvey (10) from Wakehurst who also took out the Metropolitan Scratch trophy for the day. Coming in second from Monash was Donna McAleer (12) with a score of 78. Rounding out the prize winners in third place was Eun-Hee Ryu (17) from Liverpool with a score of 79. Country Results Country Results Taking out the Country Gold Medal with a great score of 72 was Leanne Munt (10) from Tura Beach Country Club. Leanne dominated the Country Division for the day by also taking out the scratch prize with a score of 82. Coming in second, only a shot back, was Patricia Ward (22) from Kew Country Club. There are 129 women due to contest the 2013 Women&aposs NSW Gold Medal Play Off, incorporating the NSW Metropolitan Gold Medal and the NSW Country Gold Medal tomorrow, Friday 10 January 2014. Draw and Player Information To be eligible to compete in the Golf NSW Women’s Gold Medal play-off a player must have entered the 2013 Golf NSW Women’s Medal Competition and won a Division 1 Medal at club level. The winner of a Division 1 Medal is the player returning the lowest net aggregate of three scores at the end of the six specified club stroke rounds. The Gold Medal is the Division 1 Medal and the handicap limit is plus to 22. A range of prizes will be awarded, including:
