The fields for the Boys and Girls Championship of Victoria to be played at Northern and Yarra Yarra Golf Club from Monday 22- Wednesday 24 September have been finalised.
Now into its 85th year, Frazer Droop will be hoping to do what only a handful of players have been able to do before him – win back to back titles. Droop will be keen to bring along the remarkable ball striking he found last year when he ran away with the Championship by a barnstorming 14 strokes.
Playing from a +3 handicap and currently positioned 5th on the National Boys Rankings, Blake Windred from NSW will be eager to find the form that lead to his runner-up finish at the Australian Boys Championship earlier this year in hope of taking home the silverware.
A record number of 38 girls, including 10 interstate players will be competing for the 2014 title. The highest ranked Australian girl in Kono Matsumoto will spear head the Victorian line-up against the likes of New South Wales’ Doey Choi and Western Australia’s Hira Naveed.
