2014 Geoff Ogilvy Golf Challenge – Entries Still Open

  • Important request for Club and golfer’s support of the 2014 Geoff Ogilvy Golf Challenge.

On behalf of the Tee-Up for Kids Foundation, Golf Victoria seeks the support of all Victorian Golf Club’s and individual golfers to consider entering the 2014 Geoff Ogilvy Golf Challenge to be played at the Huntingdale Golf Club on Monday 10 November.

The Tee-Up for Kids Foundation is supported by Golf Victoria and gives club golfers the opportunity to make a substantial difference to the lives of 6000 children in Victoria living in out of home care. These are the children who, for no fault of their own, are abused, neglected and often live in fear because of neglect by their parents, or have been abandoned by them. They deserve a better chance in life than they are currently receiving. The foundation seeks to do this by putting its funds into the children’s educational needs.

The entry fee for a pair to participate in the Four-Ball Stableford event is $400, and includes lunch for each player and excellent prizes, including the winning pair participating in the 2015 Oates Vic Open Pro-Am at 13th Beach in early February.

Open to men and women; amateurs and professionals, regular participants in club Four-Ball or Foursomes events in particular would enjoy the Challenge format.

The event is strongly supported by Geoff Ogilvy and many prominent members of the community, including Victoria’s Principal Commissioner for Children and Young People, Bernie Geary OAM.

Interested Clubs and individual golfers are encouraged to go to the Tee-Up for Kids website www.teeupforkids.com  as soon as possible to enter the event.

All event details are on the site, but time is running out. Thank you in advance of your support and for helping Victoria’s neglected children.
