The 2014 Gippsland Lakes Ladies Classic will be played from Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 September at the Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance Golf Clubs.
Celebrating ten years since the event was first introduced and sponsored by East Gippsland Caravans in Bairnsdale, the event will feature:
- Individual stableford events at Lakes Entrance on Monday 22 September and Bairnsdale on Tuesday 23 September
- Tuesday Night Tournament Dinner and Celebratory Show at Bairnsdale
- Four Ball Best Ball event at Bairnsdale on Wednesday 24 September

First established in 1926 and located at its current site since 1962, Lakes Entrance Golf Club presents a picturesque, gently undulating "links" type course with spectacular ocean views. Natural lakes, sand dunes and an abundance of native trees and vegetation also characterise the impressive layout.
Looking out over the Gippsland Lakes, Bairnsdale Golf Club is located on the Paynesville road at Eagle Point. The layout is set on undulating bushland with the narrow fairways framed by native trees, particularly gums. Quality couch fairways, subtle ponds and excellent putting surfaces complete the genuinely attractive course.
In addition to the golf opportunities, East Gippsland is a great place to visit with many natural attractions including the Gippsland Lakes; Buchan Caves and 90-mile Beach with many accommodation options available.

While the Classic is open to women players with a GA Handicap, both clubs also stage annual open tournaments which feature events for men and women.
The 2014 Lakes Entrance tournament will be played from the 7-12 October while the 2014 Bairnsdale tournament will be held from 27 October until 2 November. Further details are available via the club Websites.
