Condobolin&aposs Brad Hurley and Zac Mitchell have won the 2014 NSW Sand Greens Fourball Championship after shooting consecutive rounds of one under par. Four strokes behind in second place were Neil and Rodney Newton (Walgett).

Play is underway at Manildra GC in this year&aposs NSW Sand Greens Fourball Championship. Recent rains have assisted the club in presenting the course near its best and fine weather is forecast for the weekend. In the scratch event, Brad Hurley and Zac Mitchell lead by two strokes after a one under par round of 35 points. Hot on their heels are Matt Egan and Marc Anderson, along with Neil and Rodney Newton. Three pairs sit a further shot back but are still within striking distance. In the nett event locals David Murray and Hudson Smith lead the way with 48 points, one stroke ahead of three pairs: WIll Sedgwick and Ian Cabot, Steven Glover and Kevin Fuller, Ron Fuller and Gareth Bullock. A few sore heads made their way to the tee this morning for a 7:30am shotgun start. There is another shotgun start at 1.00pm. This is the first time the event has been held at a 9 hole venue. DRAW AND PLAYER INFORMATION 110 entrants from around NSW will take part in the 2014 Men&aposs NSW Sand Greens Fourball Championship this weekend, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 March 2014, being played at Manildra Golf Club. The Championship will be conducted over two rounds of 18 holes (36 holes), scratch fourball stableford. Handicap events, run in conjunction, will be conducted as two 18-hole fourball stableford events. The entire field will contest all two rounds.
