2015 Boys & Girls State Golf Teams Announced

The 2015 Victorian Junior Boys and Girls Teams have been announced by Golf Victoria’s High Performance Department.  The following players have been selected to compete in the 2015 Australian Boys & Girls Amateur Championships and Interstate Series Matches to be held in South Australia from 7-16 April.

Darren Cole, VIS assistant coach, will coach the Girls Team and the team manager will be Jo Charlton. The team will compete at Fleurieu Golf Club from 12-16 April. The Junior Boys Coach is David Capaldo, professional at Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club and the team manager will be Ashley Marshall. The team will compete at the Links Lady Bay from 12-16 April. The teams will also be supported by Mark Bamford (assistant manager).

In addition, the following players have been selected to travel with the team as development players, compete in the Australian Junior Championship, and support the players at the Junior Interstate Series.

The teams have been selected after monitoring scoring from local, state and national competitions as well as using the experienced knowledge of state coaches, Golf Victoria’s specialist staff and the High Performance panel. The remaining training sessions will allow each athlete to work with their state coach in the lead up to the series.
