Graham Young from the Flagstaff Hill Golf Club and Lorry Brown from Blackwood Golf Club have claimed the Men’s and Women’s SA Senior Cup titles played at Flagstaff Hill Golf Club.
The Senior Cup is an 18 holes Handicap Stroke Play event for players over 60 years of age.
In the men's division, Young (19 handicap) handled the layout well to card a solid round of 87 for a nett 68, to win over Sham Sharma from North Adelaide (24 handicap) gross 93 nett 69.
Winner in the handicap range 15-27 was Roy Clayburn from Penfield with a nett 71.
In the Women’s division, last year’s runner up Lorry Brown (9 handicap) carded a nett 75 to win by one ahead of Rosemary Underwood (handicap 14). Underwood finished second on countback ahead of Margaret Gordon from Glenelg.
Winner in the handicap range 25-45 was Susan Telfer from The Stirling with a nett 78.
