QUALIFYING
For competitors not exempt from qualifying, the qualifying procedure will be as follows (if required) – one round of 18 holes played on Tuesday 27 November 2012 at Royal Perth Golf Club. Two (2) places will be available in the Championship Proper for non-exempt players.
Should the number of entries for Qualifying exceed the capacity, priority will be given to (in order):
i) PGA of Australasia Full Tournament Members and Members of the International Tour Co-Sanctioning Partner
ii) Full Members of the Australian PGA (based on most recent Final National Rankings, then order of entry)
iii) Members of other recognised Tours (in order of date of entry)
iv) Members of other recognised PGAs (in order of date of entry)
v) Amateurs in exact handicap order (at time of entry)
vi) Non-aligned professionals (in order of date of entry)
Ties for the last available places in each competition will be decided by sudden-death, hole-by-hole play-off as soon as practicable after all players have finished play. Reserve places (alternates) in case of subsequent withdrawals from the Championship Proper will be decided either by sudden-death, hole-by-hole play-off, or by lot, as the Committee in charge may determine.
Alternates from Qualifying will be used only for the purpose of filling Qualifying positions that become vacant. Championship alternates will continue to be taken from the relevant eligibility categories until all such avenues
