Exclusive Members Day – Huntingdale Golf Club

Monday 2 April saw the inaugural Crown Lager Social Golf Club Members Day take place at Huntingdale Golf Club in Victoria. And what a day it was! And what a day it was! In a picture perfect setting, the sun began to rise over the historic Huntingdale Clubhouse as members from all over Victoria made their way inside for a quick breakfast before heading out to the practice putting green. There was excitement galore with CLSGC members teeing it up alongside high profile celebrities Andy Lee, Master chef Ian Curley, comedian Glenn Robbins and former AFL champions, Craig Kelly & Alistair Lynch. All in all, 48 CLSGC members teed off in a shotgun start and took advantage of the calm course conditions no doubt trying to emulate rounds played by past Australian Master s champions Greg Norman, Colin Montgomery & Bernard Langer. Huntingdale showed its true colours later in the round when the northerly breeze picked up a little, but that didn t bother CLSGC members. And if it did, their troubles were eased with some Crown Lager s (that were of course enjoyed responsibly ) on the balcony of the 19th when they finished their round followed by a BBQ lunch. Congratulations to our winner on the day (by countback), Micah Love, who had an impressive 37 points he went away with some great prizes as did our runners up and other winners.
